On July 25th, Chongqing Xitou Industrial Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xitou Group"), as one of the initiating units, established the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Shanghe Price Dispute Mediation Center (hereinafter referred to as "Shanghe Mediation Center") for a three-day mediator training course in Chongqing.
Hu Kaiqiang, Director General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization National Multi functional Economic and Trade Platform, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chongqing Municipal Political Consultative Conference, Director of the SCO Mediation Center, He Yun, Director of the Chongqing Price Determination Center, Hou Jin, Vice Chairman and President of Xitou Group, and Executive Deputy Director of the SCO Mediation Center, attended the opening ceremony. Zhao Xiaohua, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Cooperation Mediation Center, presided over the meeting, and Hu Kaiqiang delivered a welcome speech and mobilized for training.
Hu Kaiqiang, on behalf of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization National Multi functional Economic and Trade Platform and the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area SCO Price Dispute Mediation Center, warmly welcomes all the instructors and trainees who participated in this training and wishes the training course a complete success. Hu Kaiqiang emphasized during the training mobilization that the price mechanism is the core of the market mechanism. Adhering to and developing the "Fengqiao Experience" in the new era is a major political task personally deployed and promoted by General Secretary Xi Jinping. The mediation of price disputes has emerged in this context, jointly advocated and promoted by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Supreme People's Court, and the Ministry of Justice. It is of great significance for maintaining fairness and justice, safeguarding people's well-being, and effectively supporting the smooth operation of the market, optimizing the business environment, serving the modern governance of mega cities, and promoting social harmony and development.
The establishment of the SCO Mediation Center is a direct manifestation of actively implementing the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, an effective measure to implement the arrangements and deployments of the Party Central Committee, a specific action to "adhere to and develop the 'Fengqiao Experience' in the new era, improve the mechanism for handling internal contradictions among the people under the new situation, and timely resolve conflicts and disputes at the grassroots level and in their infancy", and an important exploration of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's national multifunctional economic and trade platform to promote the professionalization and internationalization of cross-border commercial dispute mediation in SCO countries. At the same time, Hu Kaiqiang also encouraged all students to study seriously, practice their mediation skills, and better serve the social stability and innovative development of Chongqing. This training aims to strengthen the reserve of commercial mediation talents, relying on the advantages of the service industry in Liangjiang New Area, and provide efficient, professional, and international price dispute mediation and arbitration services for member enterprises of the SCO Economic and Trade Platform. This measure will fill the gap in regional cross-border commercial dispute resolution mechanisms, significantly reduce transaction costs and compliance risks for member state enterprises, and create a stable, fair, and transparent business environment.
This mediator training course attracted more than 90 students from Chongqing and surrounding provinces and cities. We invited mediation experts from the Chongqing court system, judicial system, and senior grassroots mediators to give lectures. The training closely follows the new requirements and challenges of mediation work in the new era, carefully sets up a curriculum system, and covers various aspects of people's mediation and commercial mediation. Through practical training with real and difficult cases, under the guidance of mentors, we can jointly dismantle the focus of contradictions, design mediation paths, deepen understanding through ideological collisions, and hone our ability to adapt and control processes in highly simulated situations. The training also conducted theoretical assessments to comprehensively test the learning effectiveness. The students generally reflected that the course is "full of practical knowledge and practical skills", which not only systematically updates the knowledge reserve, but also significantly enhances the confidence and skills in resolving complex conflicts through simulated actual combat.
On July 27th, at the graduation ceremony of the training, Hu Kaiqiang, Director General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization National Multi functional Economic and Trade Platform, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chongqing Municipal Political Consultative Conference, and Director of the Shanghai Cooperation Mediation Center, as well as He Yun, Director of the Chongqing Price Recognition Center, awarded the qualified trainees with the qualification certificate of commercial mediator and the appointment letter of the Shanghai Cooperation Mediation Center.
